What we do

The carpentry we take on

These are finish-carpentry jobs sized for a visit or two, not framing or structural work.

Baseboard and quarter round

New runs after flooring goes in, or damaged sections replaced and blended into what is already there.

Door and window casing

Loose, cracked or mismatched casing is pulled and replaced, with corners that close without a visible gap.

Crown molding

Crown molding installed in a room or hallway, with inside corners coped so they stay tight as the house moves through the seasons.

Shelves and small wood repairs

Closet shelving, a simple wall shelf, a split stair tread cap or a chewed window sill repaired or rebuilt in wood.

How we work

How we handle a trim job

We look at the room and measure

Tell us what you want done and, if you can, send photos. For new trim we confirm the profile and the lengths needed, and for repairs we check whether the existing piece can be matched. The estimate is free.

Drilling into a wall through a paper template that marks where things hang

Cutting and fitting on site

We set up a cutting station outside or in the garage where possible, cut each piece to the wall in front of us, and fasten it level and tight. Walls are rarely straight, so we scribe and adjust rather than force a joint.

Filled, caulked and ready for paint

Nail holes get filled and the seams against the wall get a thin line of caulk. If painting is part of the plan, we can paint the new trim during the same visit.

Why homeowners choose us

Why our trim work holds up

Good trim is about the corners, and we take the time to get them right.

  • Free estimates
  • Inside corners coped, not just mitered and caulked
  • We match existing profiles where they can be found
  • Price agreed before any work starts
  • Painting the new trim can be added to the same job
  • Dust kept to the work area and cleaned up at the end

The quote

How we price trim and carpentry

Trim is priced by the linear footage and the number of corners and cuts, plus the material you choose. We give you one agreed price before work starts.

Always included

  • Measuring, cutting and installing on site
  • Filling nail holes and caulking seams
  • Hauling away the offcuts and old trim

What changes the number

  • Linear feet of trim and how many corners it turns
  • The profile and material, from primed MDF to hardwood
  • Whether old trim has to be removed first

Trim and carpentry questions

Have a question about your job? Call or text (770) 746-7207 and we'll talk it through with you before you book anything.

Can you match the trim I already have?

Often, yes. Many common baseboard and casing profiles are still sold, and we check before quoting. When an old profile is no longer made, we show you the closest options so you can decide.

Do you supply the trim or do I?

Either works. We can pick up the material and include it in the price, or install pieces you have already bought once we confirm there is enough.

Do you build decks, frame walls or fix rotted structure?

No. Framing, decks, and anything that carries weight or involves structural rot is outside what we do. We stick to finish carpentry, shelving and small wood repairs.
